The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) has published Circular No. 04/2026/DFEMR, clarifying the obligation to draw up an EU Declaration of Conformity under Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR).
The circular addresses manufacturers, producers and suppliers covered by the regulation and clarifies:
- Carrying out the conformity assessment procedure.
- Drawing up the EU Declaration of Conformity associated with the obligations set out in Article 15.
These clarifications aim to support a more harmonised application of these obligations across the European Union.
